Making Your Internal Martial Arts Effective

Each person practices the internal martial arts (IMA) for different reasons.

Some of us focus on health.  Some of us are drawn to the graceful beauty of the art. Some practice in order to master their ch’i/qi/ki “internal energy.”

However, for many of us, one of our main interests is self-defense.  Although, in most scenarios, the realistic close combat aspects of the IMA have been largely been lost, the pages that follow will provide insight how to make them effective.

First, some basic information on the IMA.
