Challenges the "forward open palm" position practiced by some schools of Ba Gua Zhang, and gives detailed instructions on why and how the shape of the hand in Ba Gua influences power and effectiveness. The lesson focuses on ulnerability of an outward turned palm and the best hand angle for improving strength. (Note, this lesson does not address the outward turned palm as a chi kung (qigong) practice, a separate subject)
