Specializes in close combat, Hsing I, Internal Shaolin, chi kung (qigong) and I Chuan ("mind boxing")

Roger has completed nearly 30 years of study of the martial arts. His early training includes advanced ranking in Kenpo Karate under Jesse Cano and professional training in private investigation and personal protection (Backtrack Ltd., Private Investigation and Personal Protection Group). Roger has worked as a licensed bodyguard and a security specialist. He has also been the senior security consultant and trainer for security personnel at several Orange County nightclubs and other venues.

For the last 20 years he has been a student of Hsing Chen Internal Arts. In 2006 Roger the became the first, and remains the only, fifth degree instructor in the Hsing Chen art and association founded by Master John Bracy. As the most advanced ranking student he holds the title “Da Shr Hsung” (senior “brother”) within the Hsing Chen organization.  His areas of concentration are Hsing I, Hsing Chen Kung Fu, Internal Shaolin and Tai Chi Chuan and I Chuan (mind boxing), and Chi Kung (qi gong) and the development of internal power with softness.

Although Roger’s career as the senior vice president of a major commercial real estate firm keeps him busy, he still has time for teach occasional classes for the Hsing Chen and Chi Arts organizations in central Orange County and offers private training to a few dedicated students in south Orange County.
