[Read about Master Yi and the Pa Kua Men here] . Introduced to the U.S. by Master John Bracy in 1982, the style offers a tremendous range of instruction in body mechanics, grace and internal energy. Hsing Chen students who specialize in Internal Shaolin begin with either "Mei Hua Chuan" (Plum Flower fist) or "Lo Han Chuan" (Monk Fist) and proceed to Snake style, and weapon study, especially the long staff and "Dragon Stick." Advanced students proceed to "Drunken Style Boxing," and more advanced weapon study such as the 9 section chain whip or Three section staff.
All Hsing Chen students study aspects of the Yi Family chi kung (qigong) training, especially sitting yoga chi kung and Eight Direction chi kung (wu Hsing Ba Gua Chuan).
